New Referee Checklist

Congratulations!

What you need to start Refereeing

  1. An approved USSF referee uniform-Click Here   

  2. Your current years USSF badge -You can Referee games before your badge arrives.

  3. Set of flags, whistle, watch, Red and Yellow cards.

  4. Most Tournaments and Leagues in AZ are assigned through assignr.com-

  5. Please request an assignr.com account HERE

  6. How to Find and Request Games in Assignr.com  Find and Request Games 

  7. Check out my upcoming events for a list of Tournaments and Leagues - Upcoming Events   - If you see an event you want to work, you can click the logo for details on how to provide your availability.

  9. See a list of Available Games - my list of available games is usually just for the up coming weekend's games.  If you see games you would like to work, email me asking to be assigned to them.

Become a Referee-

There are lots of Referee opportunities.

Some of the benefits of Refereeing are -learn more about the game, give back to the game, set you own schedule, earn money, get exercise, make friends. 

​

Newly certified referees are designated by US Soccer as Grassroots Referees.

If you have never been a referee before, this is the course for you.

you will need to register at ASRA

The minimum age is 13. By mandate of US Soccer, all new referees must be age 13 at the time they register for their course. There are no exceptions.
